Chronic pelvic pain can stem from many sources. To get to the root cause, we first must understand the concept of multiple pain generators. Chronic pelvic pain is usually multifactorial in nature. The underlying cause may be neurological, vascular, physiological, pharmacological and psychological.
Preventions
While there are not currently any preventions for chronic pelvic pain, there are many treatment options that can help you find relief. Treatment for and recovery from chronic pelvic pain may involve a combination of medications, physical therapy, psychotherapy, and/or surgery.
